Left On Read

It’s Day 30 and I made it!

Every time I start a challenge, I wonder if I’ll be able to finish it. I don’t use them to punish myself. But, I love how I feel when I can complete, despite the obstacles.

Challenges are tough. Many people want to try them, but don’t even start them because they feel they won’t complete them. Like, they’re not in the right mind frame for it…or they don’t trust themselves…or they don’t feel equal to the challenge.

But, I believe waiting to do the things you want for a better…more convenient…more inspired…more appropriate time can leave you on read forever.

I know because that’s exactly how I used to live…waiting until things were better to do the things I wanted with my life.

It’s really no way to live.

Case in point, not long ago, one of the Facebook Groups I frequent asked its members about what things we hoped for with our lettering. My response was that I wanted to be able to make and sell stickers. It doesn’t have to be tomorrow. There’s some things I need to learn first. But, along with a few other things, it’s on my to-do list.

Regardless of what’s going on, whether it’s a lettering challenge, developing a new habit, or a dream career…Regardless of how ill-equipped you feel for what you want in life, make it a point to pursue the dreams inside of you now. Every day, if it’s only one more step closer to what you want, take it.

Don’t leave your dreams on read.
