Easter Eggs and The Ink Me This Calligraphy Engraver

I said I wasn’t going to do this…

And, yet, here I am….

There’s a little trend on IG where calligraphy engravers are engraving their Easter eggs. 🥰

Of course, Easter is more then just eggs and candy to me. It’s about being raised anew in Christ.

But, who’s to say we can’t have a little fun while we point to that truth?

I used my favorite calligraphy tool of all time, The Ink Me This Engraver (sorry Tombow and Pentel), to engrave some Easter eggs for my daughter’s Easter basket this year.

My mil always sends the kids Easter baskets full to the brim with candy and a few things they need as well. But, this year, she sent the candy only and involved me in the process too to put the basket together.

So, what else was I to do? 🤷🏾‍♀️

I boiled all the eggs. Then, I used a Stabilo pencil to draft. I had some wet cotton swabs and paper towels on-hand for corrections. Afterward, I engraved the eggs with the Ink Me This Engraver, loosely adhering to my drafts.

Take a look at the process below.

She’s going to LOVE this video…and, I’m telling you, Easter has never been so much fun! 🥰

Happy Easter, y’all! ❤️
