It’s 2020, and No, Mother’s Day is Not Cancelled

Mother’s day will not be cancelled this year (…or, any year).❤️

I can’t say how many cancellations have come about due to all The Quarantine Crazy of 2020. From birthdays to graduations, so many plans have been upended by it all.  We’ve settled into the idea that this will likely last longer than any of us initially thought, but it sucks no less. We have come to celebrate with others by video. We have also come to grieve with others by video. In the midst of it, we continue to deal with diseases that began long before coronavirus and will last well beyond 2020. In this time, we all just make do as best we can and rely on hopefully thoughtful gestures to maintain our relationships.

But what we not gon’ do, is cancel.

To all the beautiful mothers out there holding it down in 2020…having their babies, raising their babies, and those forced to bury their babies, much love to you all. Keep going.
