Being Thankful

Man…2020 can kick rocks, honestly.

This year brought a ton of heartache and unwanted change. But, at the end of the day, I’m still thankful for the blessings I have received over this year.
Case in point, today I assisted my new, currently dozing husband in cooking a holiday dinner together…and despite the health challenges, my daughter sits near me tonight, laughing her head off. My son is in quarantine, but feeling fine.

For myself, I am drawing announcement signs and chalkboards in preparation for an intimate, DIY wedding ceremony in the spring as well as holiday cards for friends and family that have been there for us.

So, in complete honesty, the journey through this year hasn’t been 100% enjoyable. But, the destination I am at now-this night-is one I can savor.
For these things, I will be thankful. 🙏🏾
